The branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” summed up the work of student energy crews. From 1 July to 16 August 2019, students of specialized specialties from a branch of the NRU MPEI and secondary professional educational institutions of the Smolensk region worked at facilities of the branch as part of the “Phoenix” and “Energet” crews.
The guys participated in the overhaul of 6 (10)/0.4 kV transformer substations, the construction and installation of new cable power lines, the elimination of technological violations and the disposal of logging residues after clearing routes along overhead lines. In addition, the girls mastered the skills of working with technical documentation. During the working season, the members of the crews laid 1,985 metres of new and dismantled 158 metres of damaged cable, dug 1,105 metres of trenches for laying cable power lines. As part of the work to identify and combat theft of electricity, the students took more than 5.5 thousand meter readings from household consumers and legal entities.
“The work in the branch was the first professional experience for many young people. The best students, as a rule, stay in our company to work, are included in the personnel reserve of the organization,” stressed Alla Korolkova, the head of the human resources department.
