The next Safety Day was held at the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo”. The commission, consisting of heads of the technical unit and specialized services of the executive office of Kurskenergo, summed up the results of measures to eliminate the shortcomings identified during the previous Safety Day. In addition, the quality and timeliness of briefings, the correctness of documentation, the implementation of labour protection rules and compliance with labour discipline were checked.
Particular attention was paid to development of schemes for connecting redundant power supply sources at socially significant facilities and to testing the knowledge of personnel on storage conditions and operation of equipment located in the service area of a Distribution Zone.
Practical exercises were held for staff of the service sales office at which they worked out issues related to the correct execution of metering instrument inspection acts and the sequence of actions in case of inadmissibility to the reference instrument installed within the boundaries of the consumer’s power installations for carrying out control readings or verification of metering devices. In addition, as part of the Safety Day, the employees of the branch worked out the methods for providing first-aid medical care to a victim with electric shock.
Following the results of the Safety Day, Kurskenergo developed a list of measures to eliminate the identified violations. The Safety Day is carried out at the branch every month in order to prevent occupational injuries and increase the production culture at facilities of the branch.
