Kurskenergo summed up the results of environmental activities for the first half of 2019

16.08.2019

During the reporting period, the branch “Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo” implemented a number of measures to protect air and water basins, protect and rationally use land, and reduce the environmental impact of physical factors.

Instrumental control of compliance with the standards for maximum permissible emissions (MPE) was carried out at 45 sources of emissions of production units; no excesses of established standards were found.

In order to prevent land pollution by production and consumption waste, Kurskenergo arranges sites for waste collection, containers are marked, a full primary inventory of waste is set, and waste generation and movement registers for all types are kept. Under contracts for removal and disposal of waste with specialized organizations that have the appropriate licenses, in the first half of this year, 197.5 tons of waste from the first to fifth hazard classes were delivered.

The improvement of environmental safety in the electric grid sector is also facilitated by the modernization of electric grid equipment, the use of promising technologies and solutions in the delivery and distribution of electricity.

In 2019, diagnostics and ultrasonic non-destructive testing were completed on porcelain houses for 30 small oil 110 kV circuit breakers (VMT-110), including to prevent leakage of transformer oil.

For six months of 2019, the power engineers constructed about 30 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines (conductors) using self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), while constructing 6-10 KV lines, the branch does not install oil-filled switching devices.

Kurskenergo also pays attention to the protection of the animal world near electrical installations. Since the beginning of the year, 288 special bird protection devices have been installed on poles of 6-10 kV overhead lines.

For the implementation of the “Program for the implementation of environmental policy”, which includes more than 14 events, the power engineers planned about 1.3 million rubles in 2019.

Carrying out measures to reduce the negative impact on the environment and developing an environmental management system in accordance with the international standard, the Kurskenergo branch contributes to the environmental safety of the Kursk region.
