Kostromaenergo’s power engineer took the 2nd prize in regional sports competitions

The chief engineer of Volgorechensky Distribution Zone of Kostromaenergo Dmitry Gruzdev won the silver medal in the individual and doubles category in table tennis in the XVIII summer sports games for prizes of Governor of the Kostroma region.

An experienced tennis player Dmitry Gruzdev, who has been behind the sports for more than 25 years, took the 2nd prize following the results of his performance in the Volgorechensk team, losing to an athlete from Kostroma.

The large-scale sporting event, which took place in Bui, was attended by more than 500 athletes from all municipal districts of the region. The competitions were held in 8 sports - athletics, polyathlon (pentathlon with running), swimming, bullet shooting, biathlon (cross-sprint), Russian drafts, table tennis, beach volleyball. As a result, the 1st place is with the team from the city of Kostroma. The Volgorechensk team took the 3rd team place.

“We support our athletes, paying great attention to sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle among employees of the branch. Kostromaenergo provides the necessary assistance in acquiring equipment and contributes to the training process. This allows our guys to show good results not only in events at the regional level, but also in corporate competitions of Rosseti Centre’s branches,” stressed the head of Kostromaenergo’s human resources department Lyudmila Tkachenko.
