They thanked the students for the quality impact work, the observance of safety rules and discipline. All speakers noted the importance of the student movement in attracting promising young personnel to the industry, organizing youth employment, and acquiring professional skills.

This year, 25 students of the KSAA, senior students of the Kostroma Energy College named after F.V. Chizhov and Volgorechensky Industrial College worked in the crew “Energy 44” of Kostromaenergo. The young people received practical skills in their future profession at power facilities in 14 Distribution Zones. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, they participated in scheduled inspections of transformer substations, checking power lines, taking readings of electricity metering devices, building power lines, cleaning cutting debris when clearing routes of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines, preparing data for grid connection contracts. In addition, the crew members were involved in the repair of power transformers, overhaul of substations, landscaping premises of the enterprise.

Before allowing the future power engineers to work, Kostromaenergo’s specialists conducted training sessions for them on safety and the use of personal protective equipment. The young people’s leisure time was also busy. They visited the museum of the history of the power system and the substation “Severnaya”, took part in organizing interdepartmental route safety games for children in the country recreation camps “Electronic” and “Belenogovo” and the anti-nicotine campaign “Energy against smoking!”.

The crew members expressed their gratitude to Kostromaenergo’s leadership for the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge gained in educational institutions and to learn the basics of the profession. “We have learned a lot, although at first it was not easy. We were greatly helped by the support of experienced workers. Kostromaenergo employs real professionals who are responsible and go for the result of their work. In the future, we would like to join their ranks,” said the commander of the crew “Energy 44” Kirill Gorodash.
