The branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo” continues to work on the modernization of energy metering systems. In 2019, it is planned to modernize technical metering at 286 6-10 kV transformer substations in accordance with the concept of digital transformation of the electric grid complex. In addition, the fleet of metering devices will be upgraded at 16 35-110 kV substations.
The use of modern devices allows continuous monitoring and metering of electricity. Information transfer from smart metering devices is carried out via wireless communication channels. All this allows to significantly improve the quality of work to identify sources of excess electricity losses in the distribution grid.
“Modernization of electricity metering systems and power grid equipment contributes to reducing losses, increasing the efficiency of the power grid complex, as well as the quality and reliability of electricity supply to consumers in the Tambov region,” stressed Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo” Nikolay Bogomolov.
