Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo” organized an unusual electrical safety lesson in the city of Rybinsk of the Yaroslavl region. The lesson for preschoolers of kindergarten No. 115 “Aistyonok” on the eve of their first school year was held in a thematic trolleybus with pictures on the topic of prevention of children’s electrical injuries and observance of electrical safety rules.
The trolleybus has been travelling on the route of the second largest city of the Yaroslavl region for seven months and soon will take the first graders to the school lessons. The pupils of the kindergarten “Aistyonok”, accompanied by their parents and teachers, entered the salon already prepared: the children became acquainted with the main rules of electrical safety on the sides of the vehicle and answered questions with ease. The power engineers told about how to behave near electrical installations in the street and handle household appliances at home.
During holidays, the risk of electrical accidents among children increases. The reason for the tragedy is usually the lack of knowledge of elementary electrical safety rules or self-indulgence. “Child safety is paramount for us. And such lessons are designed to protect children and draw the attention of parents to the relevance of the topic,” a deputy of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma L.Y. Ushakova expressed her opinion.
The lesson in the trolleybus attracted the attention of not only the kids. Many adults listened with interest to the leading engineer of the industrial safety and production control office of the branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo” Lyudmila Kudryakova and noted a lot of new things for themselves. The children were able to consolidate their knowledge with answers to riddles. At the end of the lesson, they received educational literature and thematic colouring books as a gift. Yarenergo’s specialists also left fairy tales and children’s verses with electrical safety rules for other young passengers in the trolleybus.
Preventive work on electrical safety is carried out by power engineers throughout the year. In particular, on school holidays, meetings are organized with inmates of summer camps for children’s activities. Since the beginning of summer, the Yaroslavl power engineers, together with employees of the Emergencies Ministry and other departments and companies within the program “Territory of Safety”, conducted three classes for 1,500 children. Until the end of the summer Yarenergo has scheduled to have lessons in four camps.
