The branch “Rosseti Centre of Kostromaenergo” continues the sixth labour season of the student crew “Energy 44”. 25 students of the Faculty of Power Engineering of the State Agricultural University, Volgorechensky Industrial Technical School and Kostroma Energy Technical School named after F.V. Chizhov are working in 14 Distribution Zones. The guys are participating in routine inspections of transformer substations, checking power lines, removing logging residues when clearing routes, updating and verifying 0.4 kV single-line diagrams of overhead lines, as well as in commissioning metering devices (meters) and taking their readings. For two weeks, under the guidance of experienced specialists of the branch, they conducted about 1,000 round checks of private sector customers.
The students usefully spend their free time. Excursions to the museum of the history of the power system and the 110/6 kV substation “Severnaya” of Kostromaenergo were organized for them. In addition, the guys took the most active part in the interdepartmental safety route games, which were held in the country health camp “Electronic” and the camp named after Belenogov.
The student labour shift will last until the end of July. In addition to gaining practical professional experience, the members of the crew “Energy 44” will take part in social actions and sports competitions.
