The new season of student construction crews started on 1 July 2019. One of the crews is working at energy facilities of the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo”.
As part of educational leisure, all interested participants of the construction crew “Energet”, which consists of 28 students from the branch of the National Research University MPEI in the city of Smolensk, were able to visit the Grid Control Centre (GCC) of Smolenskenergo in July. Here, the young people were introduced to the structure of the enterprise and the Centre itself, toured the main premises of the GCC, saw the equipment necessary for the work and modern power management technologies.
“In addition to daily work at power facilities, it is very important to introduce the future power engineers to the traditions of the branch, acquaint with power facilities, show innovations implemented in the branch. We try to make the labour season not only fruitful in terms of work, but also interesting during the rest. So, the members of the construction crew are invited to participate in various corporate events. In June, those interested could already take part in the athletics relay at the power engineering Sports Games of the Smolensk region, and in August a bowling tournament is planned among the branch’s employees, to which the guys will be invited, ”commented Alla Korolkova, the head of the HR department.
The labour semester will last until 16 August. In addition to daily work, the students will have the opportunity to express themselves creatively, as well as to take part in electrical safety lessons that the power engineers conduct in summer in recreation camps for children.
