Rosseti Centre Kurskenergo* held the grand opening of the sixth season of student crews. This year, 14 students of the South-West State University, Dmitrievsky Agricultural Technical School, Kursk Assembly Technical School, Kursky Railway Technical School, a branch of the federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education “Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University” in the city of Kursk joined the ranks of the construction crew “Energetic”.
The event was attended by leaders of Kurskenergo, representatives of the Veterans’ Council and the Youth Council of the branch, partner universities, as well as the Committee of Education and Science of the Kursk Region. The meeting was opened by Deputy General Director of Rosseti Centre - Kurskenergo division director Alexander Rudnevsky. He handed over the labour permits to the young people, and wished them successful and interesting work at Kurskenergo’s facilities, and also expressed the hope of seeing them in the ranks of the branch’s employees after graduation.
Igor Lagutin, Deputy Chairman of the Education and Science Committee of the Kursk Region, noted the qualitative training of qualified personnel in Kurskenergo. “This is an important job that allows you to create a personnel reserve for the enterprise, and helps schools to find work for talented students,” he stressed.
A frequent guest of Kurskenergo - Alexey Gorlov, Head of the Electric Power Supply Department of the South Caucasian State University. There is a long-term partnership between the company and the educational institution. “Our students get practical skills not for the first time at Kurskenergo’s energy facilities as part of the construction crew. All this is due to the leadership and mentoring of the company’s experienced specialists,” he noted.
In addition, graduates of the construction crew “Energetic” of the past years, who already work in various positions in Kurskenergo, addressed the young people. They told how work as part of the student crew helped them gain the necessary skills and knowledge to feel confident in the team of power engineers.
Not without creative surprises: Alexander Taratin, the head of the department for development and issue of technical conditions, performed the song of his own lyric “Engineering Lyrical” for those present.
The branch’s Youth Council prepared a thematic quest. The entertaining game consisted of three stages: the young people needed to solve puzzles and complex riddles in order to find keys to the door, where a special message was hidden for them.
The members of the construction crew responded with a themed flash mob under the song “Furious construction crew”.
The opening of the 2019 season of the construction crew was completed by a joint trip to the Museum of N.V. Plevitskaya.
The season of student construction crews will last from 1 July to 31 July. After completing an initial briefing on labour protection and fire safety, as well as familiarization with the internal labour regulations, the guys will start working at the branch’s facilities.
