03.07.2019

Specialists of Rosseti Centre - Voronezhenergo division have begun to form a target group of students for full-time studies at the Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter I (VSAU). 20 future power engineers will get education in the specialization “Electrical equipment and electrical technologies in the agro-industrial complex” in the new academic year. They got this opportunity thanks to the agreement concluded by Voronezhenergo and the Voronezh State Agrarian University in early 2019.

Under the terms of the agreement, the university allocates targeted budget places in the full-time department for training students in the specified profile, and the company guarantees the employment of graduates. The selection of candidates for targeted training was carried out in April by a commission, which included representatives of both the agro-university and the power grid company. The interview was attended by 30 high school students from different districts of the region, from which 20 future applicants were selected. For enrollment in the target group of training, the candidates had to successfully pass the unified state exam in specialized subjects.

“All applicants to the target group successfully passed the unified state exam, their average score was 178. Now they are submitting documents to the admissions office of the university for inclusion in the enrollment order. Of course, we are interested in a high level of training for future employees, so we will follow the process of their training at all stages. They will also do their internship and pre-diploma practice at our enterprise,” said Evgeny Novikov, the head of the HR department of Voronezhenergo.

Rosseti Centre - Voronezhenergo conducts ongoing work on vocational guidance among students of specialized higher and secondary educational institutions of both the Voronezh region and other regions of the country. Students are accepted for on-the-job and pre-diploma internships, “open doors days” and tours to production facilities are organized for them, summer seasons of student energy crews working at the branch’s energy facilities are held.

Over the past five years, 55 graduates of specialized universities were employed in Voronezhenergo. More than 250 students underwent practical training here and defended their diploma projects on the profile of the energy company. As a result of the partnership of the power engineers with educational institutions, a comfortable adaptation of new employees, who have just graduated from universities, takes place, and young staff is being formed that meets the goals and objectives of the modern Russian energy industry.
