The sixth season of student crews opened in Lipetskenergo

Commanders of energy crews received labour permits at the closing ceremony of the professional skills competition of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

25 members of student construction crews attended the professional skills competition of crews for repair and maintenance of 0.4-10 kV distribution grids. The guys appreciated the mastery of the best power engineers in Central Russia and Volga region and took part in the closing ceremony of the competition. Permits for work at facilities of Rosseti Centre - Lipetskenergo division were solemnly presented by First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of Rosseti Centre Alexander Pilyugin to the crew commanders.

“It is especially pleasant to start your first working season with the opportunity to see professionals in action. The future power engineer should know what they will face in reality. The scale of the competition helps ensure the correctness of the chosen profession,” shared the impressions the commander of the energy crew “Dielectrics” Maxim Ivannikov.

The labour season for the best students of core specialties of the Lipetsk State Technical University, Lipetsk Metallurgical College, Lipetsk Machine Building College, Zadonsk Polytechnic College, and Lipetsk Polytechnic College began 1 July. The members of student construction crews will be involved in repair work, scheduled inspections of transformer substations, checking power lines and taking readings of electricity metering devices. Also, the students will take part in conducting electrical safety lessons and participating in the traditional bike race “Stop energy thief”. They will delve into the intricacies of their future profession under the supervision and guidance of experienced Lipetskenergo’s specialists, in strict accordance with safety regulations.

“My life since childhood is connected with energy. Most of my relatives work in this area. Therefore, my choice is obvious. I am interested in the work of crews and dispatchers in practice. Only in real working conditions one can understand the complexity and importance of the profession. It’s so honourable to know that light and heat in homes depend on you,” said Ekaterina Panarina, the commander of the student energy crew “Iskra”.
