02.07.2019

The sixth season of student energy crews opened in Rosseti Centre - Belgorodenergo. This year, labour permits for work at power facilities were received by students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Novooskolsky College, Valuysky Industrial Technical School and Shebekinsky Agrotechnical Craft Technical School, studying in specialties related to energy.

Fifteen members of the student crew “Phase” will work as electricians in crews of Belgorodsky, Novooskolsky, Valuysky, Shebekinsky, Chernyansky and Alekseevsky Distribution Zones for one and a half months. The guys will take part in inspections and repair of electrical equipment, checking and taking readings of metering devices, removing logging residues when clearing routes, applying dispatching names. All of them are officially employed, provided with workwear. During the week, they will be trained and tested in the volume of the second group of electrical safety and will be able to start working at substations and power lines.

At the opening ceremony, the head of the human resources department of Belgorodenergo, Tatyana Tatukova, emphasized that the branch is interested in high-quality practical training of students of energy specialties. She recalled that the power industry is currently moving to a digital platform, implementing equipment and innovative power management systems that will make the power supply to consumers more reliable: “You have to work in a new reality. Gain experience, verify and consolidate the theoretical knowledge received at the university, learn, because the future of energy is yours, waiting for you in our ranks.”

Giving directions to the members, Director of the Institute of Energy, Information Technology and Control Systems of BSTU named after Shukhov Alexander Belousov wished the young people productive work days and recommended not only to carefully study the real production, but for the practical component to see the physical processes that were studied at the university, understand how they work now, and how they will develop in the era of digital transformation.

Dmitry Mistyuk, the commander of the 2018 crew “Phase”, shared his impressions with his colleagues: “Thanks to the student crew, a more complete understanding of what the chosen specialty is and what it expects after studying at the university has come. It is really very useful and interesting. Listen to what the mentors are telling you, do not be afraid to ask questions, get invaluable experience, which, of course, will be useful to you.”

In the Belgorod region with the participation of members of students’ construction crews for five years dozens of transformer substations and about 50 km of overhead and cable power lines were repaired. Most of the former construction workers are employed at Belgorodenergo, many of them have already grown into true professionals in their field.
