Rosseti Centre - Voronezhenergo division* started the sixth season of student construction crews. This year, more than 50 students representing higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of the Voronezh region will work at the branch’s facilities: the International Institute of Computer Technologies (IICT), the Kalacheev Agrarian Technical School, the Borisoglebsky Agricultural Technical School, and the Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter I and the Semiluksky Polytechnic College, which joined the student movement in the current year.
Under the guidance of mentors from Voronezhenergo, the guys will learn the specifics of the work of various services and departments of the enterprise, as well as take part in construction and repair work at power facilities of the branch. Before starting work, all the students will necessarily take a course on labour protection and will receive the second electrical safety group.
“Voronezhenergo carries out constant work aimed at training future power engineers. This is especially true now, when there is large-scale digital transformation of the electric grid complex, which involves the implementation of modern high-tech solutions in this area. In construction crews, the guys get a unique opportunity to move from theory to practice, get acquainted with their future profession from the inside, learn all its subtleties. As a result, by the time they receive their diplomas, they will already know all the current trends in the development of the electric power industry and will be able to clearly understand the direction in which they will have to move in their chosen profession,” commented the chief engineer of Voronezhenergo Vyacheslav Antonov.
