Student crews of Tambovenergo expand their ranks

01.07.2019

Rosseti Centre - Tambovenergo division is completing preparations for the sixth labour season of student energy crews, which will open in early July. This summer, students from specialized secondary schools will join students from higher educational institutions: for one and a half months they will work at the branch’s facilities.

The members of the crews will be officially employed, provided with special clothing and dress uniform. In anticipation of the labour season, they will have to pass an exam for the second group of electrical safety, which is a prerequisite for admission to work. The guys will take part in the inspection and repair of equipment of transformer substations, in updating dispatching names and carrying out planned inspections of 10/0.4 kV overhead power lines, checking and taking meter readings, removing logging residues during clearing routes and other works. In addition, they are planning to involve them in conducting electrical safety lessons and thematic route games in children’s health camps.

As in previous years, the power engineers planned a useful leisure time and an extensive cultural program for the members of the crews: tours to power facilities and museums of regional power grids, visiting memorable places and sights, contests and competitions. The students will also become participants in campaigns and socially significant events held by the branches.

“The guys will have to work in the team of Tambov power engineers - a large and friendly team of professionals. Working in Tambovenergo, they will get acquainted with advanced energy technologies and new equipment. This labour semester will be a real mastery school for them,” stressed Deputy General Director of Rosseti Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
