Voronezhenergo’s specialists continue to work on prevention of children’s injuries during the summer holidays

26.06.2019

In the first month of school holidays, specialists of Rosseti Centre - Voronezhenergo division conducted 15 electrical safety lessons for children of younger and middle age, vacationing in children’s health camps in the Voronezh region. In total, more than 800 children aged from 7 to 14 took part in the classes. The power engineers told them about what danger is with picnics and fishing under overhead power lines, why not play near power installations, and how to choose a safe place to launch a kite or for a selfie. The schoolchildren got acquainted with warning signs placed in protected zones of power lines, and also learned how to behave next to the broken wire to avoid electric shock. In addition, the children were reminded of the rules for handling household appliances.

The prevention of children’s injury is an important part of the program to reduce the risk of injury to third parties at power facilities of Rosseti Centre. Voronezhenergo’s specialists give this work the most serious attention throughout the year, especially activating it in the summer period, when children and adolescents spend most of their time without constant adult supervision. In total, the power engineers plan to hold at least 70 lessons of electrical safety during the summer holidays.

*- From June 2019, all companies of the transmission and distribution grid complex in corporate and marketing communications, as well as on all corporate identity carriers will use the new name containing the Rosseti trademark and regional or functional binding.
