Employees of the Tver branch of Rosseti Centre continue to improve their skills in rowing. On 22 June, the power engineers took on the challenge of the next championship “The Cup of Electricians”, which took place on the basis of the Tver sports club “STORM”.
19 teams from various companies - manufacturers and suppliers of electrical products, such as “Russian Light”, “ABB”, “EKF”, “Legrand”, “DKC” and others took part in the competition. The competition was held in the D-10 “open” format - open class at a distance of 200 m. The program consisted of preliminary, semifinal and final races. Employees of Rosseti Centre - Tverenergo reached the final of Group B and won a difficult and hard struggle, beating their rivals by a split second. The race time of the Tver athletes was 59.32 seconds.
“These competitions have become the largest of those in which we have ever taken part. We set the “minimum” task, having passed the preliminary semi-final races to be in the final, and entered the top five of the tournament. This sport is becoming increasingly popular among teams of the amateur level. Our colleagues from Rosseti South are also keen on rowing on Dragon class boats, and we would be happy to meet on the water. I hope that in the near future this kind of water competitions will be included in the program of power engineering competitions or become a separate tournament, along with hockey,” commented the team captain, the head of the department of metrology and power quality, chief metrologist of the Tver branch of Rosseti Centre, Vladimir Gorlanov.
