Rosseti Centre - Voronezhenergo started training dispatch personnel to work in the Unified Grid Control Centre

25.06.2019

15 specialists of the Voronezh branch of Rosseti Centre (the brand of IDGC of Centre, PJSC) began preparations for work as part of the dispatch personnel of the Unified Grid Control Centre (UGCC). Training takes place on an individual program and involves familiarity with automated systems and means of operational and technological management of grids from a single centre. After studying the theoretical material, internship and passing the exam, each specialist will have to work as an understudy at the workplace of the dispatcher of the operational and technological group of a Distribution Zone. The full cycle of training will last until the end of October and will end with a knowledge test, after which those who have been trained will receive permission to work independently.

The Voronezhsky, Nizhnedevitsky, Novousmansky, Ramonsky, Semiluksky and Khokholsky Distribution Zones will be the first to take over operational-technological management from the UGCC, which will be built already in 2019. A full transition to a single-tier system of operational and technological management of Voronezhenergo’s grids is planned for 2020. By this time, more than 90 specialists from the Voronezh branch of Rosseti Centre should undergo training and retraining for work in the Unified Grid Control Centre.

Transition to the single-level model of managing energy facilities as part of reforming the system of operational and technological management in accordance with the Digital Transformation 2030 concept, adopted by the Board of Directors of PJSC Rosseti, will significantly reduce the number and time to eliminate technological violations and, as a result, improve the quality and reliability of electricity supply.
