Lipetskenergo’s specialists took part in the strategic session “LSTU: University of the Future”

Employees of Rosseti Centre - Lipetskenergo division discussed the prospects for creating a university energy centre.

Teachers of Lipetsk State Technical University, representatives of large enterprises in the region, students gathered to develop the “image” of the future university. The participants of the plenary session were to formulate new values, define the main mission and key goals of LSTU in 10-15 years.

At the strategic session they presented 16 projects of transformation and further development of the university until 2035. So, one of the projects relating to the modernization of the university’s infrastructure involves the creation of an educational and industrial energy centre at LSTU. It is designed for five years. The energy centre will help increase the level of training of specialists in the areas of "Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering" and "Thermal Power Engineering and Heating Engineering", and is also intended to provide the university complex with energy resources, which subsequently entails energy savings.

“Rosseti Centre - Lipetskenergo division, which is now engaged in the implementation of the digital transformation program, needs specialists with a high level of training. The power engineers are interested in graduates of universities of electrotechnical specialties. After all, this is not only the formation of a highly professional staff, but, above all, a serious contribution to the strategic development of the industry,” stressed Pavel Buyev, a representative of the Lipetsk branch of Rosseti Centre, the chief of Lipetsky Distribution Zone.
