If slack or broken wire that has fallen to the ground, open doors of electrical installations, as well as damaged poles are detected, in no case should you approach the damaged wires closer than 8 metres and penetrate inside electrical installations. “Kurskenergo has developed a comprehensive program of preventive measures for third-party injuries,” stressed Vyacheslav Istomin, the first deputy director and chief engineer of Kurskenergo. “Warning signs are installed near water reservoirs, leaflets with rules of safe fishing are distributed through fishing farms, the branch’s specialists conduct electrical safety lessons in schools and school recreation camps. Only strict observance of the established rules can guarantee safety.”
