The Donor’s Day has already become traditional in the Kostroma branch of Rosseti Centre. This year, the action was held under the motto “To give blood - to save life”. It was attended by 26 employees of the company - both “newcomers” and experienced donors.
For the first time, the blood donation process was carried out not at a specialized institution, but directly at the energy company. Specialists from the Kostroma Regional Blood Transfusion Station worked at Kostromaenergo for three hours, collecting over 11 litres of blood during this time, which will be sent to Kostroma and Kostroma regional medical institutions.
Donor’s Days have been held at Kostromaenergo since 2013. After the first action, the power engineers expressed a desire to make such events regular.
“It has become a good tradition for Kostroma power engineers to help people. The blood donation campaign has been held at the enterprise for six years,” said Lyudmila Tkachenko, the acting head of the human resources department of Rosseti Centre - Kostromaenergo. “Participation in the blood donation is a noble duty of every person, and it is not without reason that they say “the donor is in the blood”.
