Employees of Rosseti Centre - Tambovenergo division visited the VIII International Festival of Brass Bands named after Vasily I. Agapkin and Ilya A. Shatrov, which was held in various cities and districts of the Tambov region.
For two days, residents of the Tambov region were pleased with performances by the best brass bands of the country: the Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Military Model Orchestra of the Guard of Honour (Moscow), the Suvorov Orchestra of the Moscow Military Music School named after Lieutenant-General Valery M. Khalilov, the Governor’s Brass Band of the Tambov Region, the City Brass Band named after Vasily I. Agapkin (Tambov), the Combined Military Orchestra of the Tambov territorial garrison and many other groups. A grand gala concert of brass bands in Russia took place on Music Square, where guests heard new works written specifically for the festival. At the end of the holiday, bright fireworks lit up the sky.
“The brass band festival opens a new page in the cultural life of our region. This is a unique project aimed at preserving and enhancing the cultural heritage, attracting the interest of a wide audience to the orchestral art. It provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the masterpieces of music performed by orchestras from around the world,” stressed Deputy General Director of Rosseti Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
