Employees of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division provided the conditions for charging batteries of electric cars of the international rally “World Rally - 2019”, the route of which ran through the territory of the Bryansk region. The race is held for the cup named after Andrey Nagel, the legendary Russian race car driver and journalist.
The participants of the international marathon “World Rally” - an annual event of world importance, organized within the official program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, arrived on the territory of the Bryansk region on 3 June. On the border of Belarus and Russia in the village of Novy Yurkovichi of Klimovsky district, the rally participants were met by employees of Bryanskenergo and the creative team of Klimovsky district. Having presented the guests bread and salt, they were cordially invited to the Bryansk land. The power engineers escorted the electric cars to charging points, which were set up in Starodubsky Distribution Zone of the energy company and at the site of Bryanskenergo in the city of Bryansk, where the workers of the branch installed power panels to connect power installations.
While the cars were charging, the rally participants talked to the employees of Bryanskenergo, volunteers, government officials, spoke about the marathon’s goals - overcoming conflicts and strengthening peace through intercultural dialogue between Russia and Western Europe. The crew members thanked the power engineers for their help and hospitality, expressed the hope that in the future, the mass use of electric vehicles could solve the problems of the “energy peak” and make the world much cleaner. They noted that the global goal of the electric marathon is to improve the environmental situation in the world, to popularize electric vehicles as an ecological transport that does not use fuel oil, and is easy to maintain. In addition, the massive use of electric vehicles is able to solve the problems of the "energy peak" and make the world much cleaner. Further, the participants of the “World Rally” continued their route, going to the Kaluga region.

The International marathon “World Rally” is an annual world event in the framework of the official program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The main idea of the marathon for the third year in a row has been a peacekeeping mission in strengthening business and cultural relations between Russia and Europe, as well as a contribution to international efforts to ensure peace. In 2019, the marathon runs from 27 May to 13 June under the slogan “Europe loves Russia. Eurasia is our common home”.
