Employees of the public relations department and representatives of the Youth Council of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division on the International Children’s Day for the younger generation held a game seminar “Magic Electricity” and a city action on prevention of children’s electrical injuries “Safe Summer”. The event was organized as part of the “Bright Planet Childhood” festive-game program.
In the framework of the game seminar “Magic Electricity”, Tambovenergo’s specialists told the young residents of Tambov about the need for careful handling of electricity and rules of conduct near power lines and transformer substations. At the end of the seminar, the power engineers held a quiz where the children were presented with prizes for the correct answers: visual aids on electrical injury prevention “Energolandia” and thematic guides.
The action "Safe Summer" was held in the city park of culture and recreation, where the power engineers in the uniform of an electrician handed out to passers-by leaflets with safety rules in the house and in the street, as well as manuals with poems and colouring books that are devoted to electrical safety.
“We decided not to limit ourselves to conducting electrical safety lessons in schools and kindergartens, and went to the site of the city recreation park to reach as many children and their parents as possible - and this experience was successful. Our action received positive feedback and support from citizens, in the future we intend to continue the practice of holding such events,” stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
