Since the beginning of the year Kostromaenergo cleared about 700 hectares of routes along power lines

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division, as part of the implementation of the repair program, continue to work on clearing and expanding routes along power lines from trees and shrubs.

To date, the power engineers have cleared 677.62 hectares, expanded 5.44 hectares of routes along power lines. To improve the efficiency and quality of work, modern technical means are used.

The clearing and expansion of the routes is carried out in order to reduce the number of technological failures caused by falling trees and branches on wires of overhead lines passing through the forest.

“The implementation of this work is one of the important conditions for preparing the electric grid complex for trouble-free operation through the autumn-winter period,” said Andrey Meluzov, the deputy chief engineer for production assets management and development of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division.

In total, in 2019, Kostromaenergo plans to clear 1,714.17 hectares of routes from trees and shrubs and expand 10 hectares of routes. At 35-110 kV overhead lines, the most significant scope of work will be carried out in Ostrovsky, Manturovsky, Chukhlomsky and Soligalichsky districts, at 6-10 kV lines - in Neysky, Kostromsky and Kadysky districts.
