31.05.2019

In the city hall of Yaroslavl there was a solemn awarding ceremony of winners of the city competition “The best enterprise of the city”. In the nomination “For high social responsibility”, IDGC of Centre - Yarenergo division was recognized as the winner. The branch was also marked by the letter of gratitude of the mayor of the city of Yaroslavl, Vladimir Volkov, “For the high performance indicators of the organization’s activities”. The mayor stressed that the enterprises - winners in their activities are aimed, first of all, at the creation and development of Yaroslavl.

The branch “Yarenergo” actively implements social projects and programs. One of the priorities is the work on prevention of electrical injuries, especially among children. The branch cooperates with schools, orphanages, children’s camps and educational institutions. During the year, the power engineers conduct dozens of lessons on electrical safety, handing out thousands of instructions with electrical safety rules, leaflets, colouring books and books on this subject.

Yarenergo pays much attention to work with veterans of the enterprise - non-working pensioners. The program of material support for non-working pensioners and disabled people includes payments and material assistance of various kinds. Also, for non-working pensioners, excursion trips to other cities and festive events are organized annually.

Yarenergo’s Museum of the Yaroslavl Energy System has been operating for almost ten years. Employees and young specialists of Yarenergo, veterans, students of relevant universities, schoolchildren and other guests of the branch get acquainted with the constantly updated exposition. The doors of the museum are always open for those who are interested in the history of the Yaroslavl region, and those who are passionate about energy - its past, present and future.

“In our work we are guided by the principles of social responsibility. The branch holds sports and cultural events: health and sports days, tourist gatherings, creative contests, excursions and cultural leisure. The branch’s employees are actively involved in volunteer activities: they provide assistance to orphanages, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, animal shelters. We also pay great attention to the development of corporate culture and the preservation of traditions,” said Nikolay Merkulov, the head of the social relations department of IDGC of Centre - Yarenergo division.
