Belgorodenergo connects to the grid a new housing neighbourhood “New Life”

30.05.2019

In the first quarter, specialists of IDGC of the Centre - Belgorodenergo division provided electricity to a new school with a kindergarten in the territory of the residential neighbourhood “New Life” in Belgorod.

In the current year, the power engineers are planning to connect to electric grids the second stage of construction of the residential micro-district with a maximum power consumption of 1.27 MW. To connect the buildings, five package transformer substations of 0.4-10 kV with a total capacity of 5.38 MVA will be installed and about 760 metres of cable power lines will be laid.

The power supply circuit is installed using the latest domestic equipment and materials.

In order to ensure the required level of reliability, the micro-district’s electric grid circuit provides for sectioning, which allows, in the case of an unplanned power outage, to minimize the number of de-energized consumers as well as reduce the time to restore power supply, while all work will be performed using the latest domestic equipment and materials.

The “New Life” project has been implemented in the Belgorod region since 2017 on the initiative and with the support of the regional government. Young families can purchase comfortable housing in a cozy neighbourhood in installments at an affordable price. Belgorodenergo has already provided power supply for the first stage of new buildings with a total capacity of 1.4 MW, having constructed for this more than 17 kilometres of cable power lines and installed two transformer substations with a capacity of 3.26 MVA and a 10 kV distribution point.
