Hotline of power engineering specialists:
Power engineers of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre, together with representatives of the regional departments of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia, the Federal National Guard Troops Service, the traffic police, the regional rescue service, other relevant departments and organizations, launched the campaign “Safe Holidays”. Its first event in the form of a route game was held in a country health camp named after Y. Belenogov. About 150 children from 7 to 14 years old took part in it.
At each of the 9 stations of the route, the guys were waiting for new knowledge and interesting tasks. The name of the stations corresponded to the subject matter of the material under study: “Fire Safety”, “Road Safety”, “Water Safety”, “Dangerous Objects”, “Safety Alphabet”, etc. At the “Electrical Safety” station, specialists of the production control and labour protection department introduced the young participants with the rules of conduct near existing electrical installations, warned of the danger posed by electric current, explained the meaning of warning signs and posters. At other stations, the guys were taught to use the fire extinguisher correctly and call the fire crew, told about the rules of behaviour on the water.
According to the participants of the lessons, the game was very useful for them. Now the boys and girls feel more confident and prepared for occurrence of various unforeseen incidents.
The goal of the campaign “Safe Holidays” is to remind children of the need to comply with safety rules. During the summer, the organizations will conduct 15 events in school and country camps of the Kostroma region as part of it.
