One of the villagers was caught on the unauthorized connection of electricity to a newly built house. Employees of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division made an act of non-contractual consumption in the amount of almost 90 thousand rubles. At first, the “economical” man admitted that he was wrong and even paid a small part of the substantial bill. But then the position changed. The resident of Yeletsk stated that he did not live in the house, and therefore was not obliged to pay. The power engineers appealed to the Yeletsky city court with a statement about collecting 74 thousand rubles of unjustified enrichment from him. As a result of consideration of the claim, in addition to the debt, the man will have to pay a state duty. Thus, for an attempt to save money he will pay 76,619 rubles to the power company.
A resident of the village of Tyushevka also voluntarily connected a new building to the grid of IDGC of Centre. As a result of consideration of the claim of the Lipetsk branch, he will have to pay the power company 136,590 thousand rubles.
“Neither individuals nor large legal entities will be able to use electric power free of charge and with impunity. The work to identify facts of non-contractual and non-metered consumption in the company is established, therefore, the courts recognize the facts of unjustified enrichment of unscrupulous consumers. Lipetskenergo uses the money that is collected from debtors for repairs of equipment and construction of new power grid facilities in the region,” said Larisa Burlakova, the head of the legal support department of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division.
The power engineers warn: in case of malfunctions with your electrical equipment, it is necessary to call the round-the-clock direct line at 8-800-50-50-15 or short number for fixed phones at 13-50. This will allow to avoid courts and fines. Also, problems with voltage levels often indicate unauthorized connection to grids in neighbouring houses. Upon receipt of such information, Lipetskenergo’s specialists will definitely come with a check.
Since the beginning of the year, lawyers of Lipetskenergo have won 46 lawsuits, sent 102 lawsuits for the collection of receivables. Thus, for just three months of this year, the Lipetsk branch of IDGC of Centre returned 91 million rubles to the company.
