Employees of Kurskenergo continue to acquaint pupils with electrical safety rules

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continue to conduct electrical safety lessons for children and adolescents of educational institutions of the region. Regular classes were held in secondary schools in Belovsky, Rylsky, Korenevsky, Gorshechensky and Cheremisinovsky districts of the Kursk region. More than 700 pupils aged from 7 to 16 took part in them.

The power engineers told the children about the basic rules of electrical safety and the rules of conduct near power facilities, explained the meaning of prohibition and warning signs. The pupils learned why it is impossible to approach broken wires, penetrate transformer substations, launch a kite and fish near power lines. In addition, the guys had the opportunity to try on the power engineer’s equipment - a helmet, boots and gloves. At the end of the lesson, the branch’s specialists showed the participants thematic cartoons and video clips, and also presented useful gifts - flyers, posters and a timetable of lessons with electrical safety rules.

Electrical safety lessons are one of the most important activities of the program to reduce the risk of injury to third parties at power facilities of IDGC of Centre. Kurskenergo’s specialists conduct them in all districts of the Kursk region. During the year, more than 3,000 schoolchildren and teachers participate in thematic classes.
