Power engineers of IDGC of Centre continue promptly restoring the power supply to consumers in some districts of the Voronezh region that was interrupted by the cyclone

11.05.2019

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division continue to quickly restore the power supply to consumers interrupted by the cyclone that covered a number of districts of the Voronezh region on the night of 10-11 May. The cause of interruptions in the power supply in most cases are the fall of trees and branches on power lines, as well as wire cross-whipping and breakage due to strong winds.

Currently, more than 20 crews of over 70 people and 36 vehicles are restoring damaged sections of power lines in Novousmansky, Ramonsky and Kashirsky districts. For the provision of electricity to socially important facilities, if necessary, they use backup power sources. Work on all sections of the damaged power lines will be carried out until the power supply to consumers is fully restored.

Actions of the repair crews are coordinated by the operational headquarters under the supervision of Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division director Vyacheslav Antonov. Constant interaction with hydrometeorological services is conducted, communication with departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, representatives of local governments and regional administrations is established.

Voronezhenergo’s specialists once again remind of the need for strict observance of safety regulations near electrical installations and power lines.

When a fallen power line pole, broken wire or sagging wire is detected:

1. Do not approach either the pole or the wire closer than 8 metres.

2. Immediately report the incident to the telephone round-the-clock direct line of power engineers of IDGC of Centre at 8-800-50-50-115, describe the problem to the dispatcher, give the address where you found a fallen pole or a broken wire, and your contact phone. This information can also be communicated to operators of the emergency call support system by the single number “112”.

3. If you have the opportunity, do not leave the scene of the incident, do not allow passers-by to the place of the fall of the pole or breakage of the wire. Wait for the arrival of the crew of power engineers.

Voronezhenergo created a temporary information centre where consumers can get all the necessary information on the process of restoring power supply by calling the toll-free round-the-clock direct line of power engineers at 8 800-50-50-115 or short number 13-50 (for landline phones).

You can find out about the causes of outages and planned dates for the restoration of power supply, send a request for the absence of electricity on the corporate website at www.mrsk-1.ru in the section “Outage and construction schedules - Get information about disconnection” at https://www.mrsk-1.ru/customers/customer-service/power-outage/

Residents of the region can also report on the existing problems related to electricity supply through the All-Russian Internet portal “Light Country” (https://светлаястрана.рф), created by ROSSETI to maximally simplify the interaction of specialists of the power grid complex with consumers.
