10.05.2019

According to the Voronezh Centre for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, from 10 May to 06:00 am on 11 May 2019, in the Voronezh region, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate - rain with thunderstorms, hail, wind gusts up to 15 - 20 m/s, which can lead to breaks of power lines and power outages.

To ensure reliable power supply to consumers, IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division introduced a high alert mode. 86 first responding mobile crews are ready for quick elimination of possible technological violations. In total, Voronezhenergo can attract 179 crews consisting of more than 900 people and more than 300 vehicles to carry out emergency recovery work in the event of an emergency.

In order to organize temporary power supply to consumers in case of emergency recovery work, 60 backup power sources with a total capacity of about 1.3 MW can be used.

Voronezhenergo’s specialists once again remind residents of the need to strictly observe the safety regulations near electrical installations and power lines. It is strictly forbidden to approach broken wires of power lines closer than 8 metres, to carry out independent work on the restoration of power supply.

When a fallen power line pole, broken wire or sagging wire is detected:

  • Do not approach either the pole or the wire.
  • Immediately report the incident to the telephone round-the-clock direct line of power engineers of IDGC of Centre at 8-800-50-50-115, describe the problem to the dispatcher, give the address where you found a fallen pole or a broken wire, and your contact phone.
  • If you have the opportunity, do not leave the scene of the incident, do not allow passers-by to the place of the fall of the pole or breakage of the wire. Wait for the arrival of the crew of power engineers.

The Contact Centre of IDGC of Centre, on a 24-hour basis, receives calls from citizens on electricity supply issues using the single direct number of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115 or short number 13-50 (for landline phones), as well as by phone +7 (915) 38-000-38 in WhatsApp and Viber.
