According to the Voronezh Centre for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, from 10 May to 06:00 am on 11 May 2019, in the Voronezh region, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate - rain with thunderstorms, hail, wind gusts up to 15 - 20 m/s, which can lead to breaks of power lines and power outages.
To ensure reliable power supply to consumers, IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division introduced a high alert mode. 86 first responding mobile crews are ready for quick elimination of possible technological violations. In total, Voronezhenergo can attract 179 crews consisting of more than 900 people and more than 300 vehicles to carry out emergency recovery work in the event of an emergency.
In order to organize temporary power supply to consumers in case of emergency recovery work, 60 backup power sources with a total capacity of about 1.3 MW can be used.
Voronezhenergo’s specialists once again remind residents of the need to strictly observe the safety regulations near electrical installations and power lines. It is strictly forbidden to approach broken wires of power lines closer than 8 metres, to carry out independent work on the restoration of power supply.
