Employees of Tambovenergo before Victory Day improved the territory of the memorial of front-line heroes

07.05.2019

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division, on the eve of the 74th anniversary of the Great Victory, improved the territory of the memorial to those who fell on the battlefields during the Great Patriotic War established in the village of Kovylka of Kirsanovsky district of the Tambov region.

Busts of front-line soldiers, natives of these places, are installed here: the only full cavalier of the Order of Glory Mikhail Abramov and the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Surov among residents of the village of Kovylka. The monument was built on charitable funds, with the active assistance of Tambovenergo’s employees, who subsequently had patronage over it.

On the eve of the holiday, the power engineers and representatives of the Youth Council put in order the territory adjacent to the monument, installed additional lighting, replaced several old lighting fixtures with modern energy-saving LED ones, and installed a low-voltage electricity metering board with a time relay sensor that automatically turns the lighting on and off with the programmed clock.

“For many years, the energy company continues to take care of the memorable object, helping improve and maintain it properly. This is our common contribution to preserving the memory of the war heroes for future generations,” stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
