Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division are conducting activities aimed at increasing the level of fire safety of power grid facilities.
The branch has developed a set of measures for the safe passage of the fire hazard period in the summer period. In addition, schedules of extraordinary inspections of the state of power lines and substations that may be in the area of ground fires have been approved and lists of overhead lines have been corrected.
The power engineers check the health of the primary fire extinguishing equipment, conduct unscheduled briefings of the branch’s staff performing work on routes of power lines. Technical measures are being taken to prevent damage to the power grid property by fire: periodic plowing of the territory of 35-110 kV substations, distribution points and transformer substations of 6-10 kV is performed. Facilities are equipped with fire alarm systems. The branch’s dispatchers monitor the state of equipment and electric grids when they receive information about the presence of thermal points in a particular area based on data received from the satellite system.
Managers of agricultural enterprises and organizations were informed about the prohibition of making fires and the inadmissibility of finding oiled materials and garbage in the workplace. In addition, it is prohibited to use equipment with a faulty fuel system, exhaust gas removal and spark suppression system, electrical equipment and electrical wiring.
