More than 500 schoolchildren and students took part in the Open Doors Day of Kurskenergo

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division held an Open Doors Day. It was attended by heads of the branch, representatives of the Education and Science Committee of the Kursk Region, the South-West State University and the district administration, as well as more than 500 pupils of the senior classes of secondary schools of Oboyan district of the Kursk region, students of the Oboyan Agrarian Technical School.

Lyudmila Mokrousova, the head of the human resources department, told the young people about working conditions, opportunities for professional and career growth, and social guarantees provided by the collective agreement of the company.

Then the film “Digital Electrician” was shown to the audience. The schoolchildren learned about the electricians of the near future, who will be able to receive the necessary information for quick response and safe work using a single information platform online.

The head of the department of material, transport, technical supervision and control over the overhaul and construction of regional educational institutions of the Kursk region Alexey Chernykh emphasized that Open Doors Days help attract young specialists to enterprises, show the importance of professions, including such popular as the power engineer.

In addition, the creative performance group of Kurskenergo presented a military-patriotic production “Cranes”, dedicated to the memory of those who fell during the Great Patriotic War. The mini-performance at the Open Doors Day gave the start to the “Watch of Memory” action, which the power engineers timed to the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the Victory. Within its framework, the branch’s specialists will acquaint schoolchildren and students of the Kursk region with the author’s performance.

The head of the Oboyansky district administration, Vitaly Zhilin, thanked the management of Kurskenergo for organizing the event, and also wished the students to choose a profession that would be not only prestigious and well-paid, but would also suit their soul.

Kurskenergo will pay great attention to vocational guidance work among schoolchildren and students of specialized educational institutions. Open Doors Days are held at the enterprise regularly throughout the year in all units of the branch.

“At present IDGC of Centre and the branch “Kurskenergo” are implementing projects related to the digital transformation of the grid. And today we especially need young specialists with a fresh look and creative thinking, able to implement innovative ideas, realize digital transformation strategies of the regional power grid complex,” stressed Alexander Rudnevsky, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director.
