In 2018, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division provided connection to the power grid of more than ten apartment houses in large cities of the Smolensk region.
So, in the regional centre in January 2018, the next stage of the grid connection of a ten-storeyed multi-apartment residential building with general premises in the area of Normandy-Neman Street, in March the power engineers completed work on the grid connection of an 83-room 15-storeyed residential building on Gagarin Boulevard, and in October electricity was supplied to phase 2 of the construction of six 16-storeyed houses in the Korolevka micro-district. In November, the grid connection of four block sections of residential house No. 4 of the settlement of Odintsovo near Smolensk was completed. Thus, the power engineers provided more than 2.38 MW of capacity to new buildings of the regional centre last year.
In addition, in January in the city of Gagarin, the power engineers connected to the grid a five-storeyed building on Builders Street, and in the city of Vyazma in June the grid connection of a 9-storeyed multi-apartment residential building on Field Street was completed.
To provide electricity for future residents of apartment buildings, the power engineers laid cable lines, constructed overhead lines, installed new transformer substations. The activities performed in 2018 allowed the connection of housing facilities of the Smolensk region with a total capacity of 2,564.85 kW.
Grid connection of housing facilities for Smolenskenergo is among the priority areas. Despite the rapid growth in the number of applications for grid connection, the energy company has always paid special attention to socially important facilities and housing construction projects, performing a large amount of grid connections every year. Already in 2019 - in February and March - two ten-storeyed houses were connected in the city of Smolensk, in the settlement of Odintsovo and Normandy-Neman Street - Tsiolkovsky - Z. Kosmodemyanskaya Lane. The total capacity of the housing facilities connected in 1Q of the current year was 193.4 kW. Work on the provision of electricity to residential buildings is ongoing.
