Voronezhenergo is preparing for the passage of a fire hazard period

24.04.2019

IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division is preparing for the passage of a fire hazard period. Power engineers are implementing a set of measures to ensure trouble-free operation of the electric grid complex and reduce the risk of fires at power equipment.

In areas of risk of natural fires, routes of overhead power lines are being cleared and expanded, the plowing of the territories of 35-110 kV substations that do not have solid concrete fencing, as well as the digging of wooden poles are carried out. Dry grass and flammable materials are being cleaned in the security zones of electrical installations. In total, the work will cover 260 substations and more than 1,600 wooden poles. At the same time, the operability of the fire protection systems, the availability of the primary fire extinguishing equipment and the provision of all units with them are being checked.

Due to the fact that in the Voronezh region there is a high degree of fire danger, Voronezhenergo’s power engineers appeal to residents of the Voronezh region with a warning about the need to observe fire safety measures in everyday life, at household plots, as well as in places of active recreation. Violation of the rules of electrical appliances operation, careless handling of fire, electrical equipment malfunction can cause large-scale fires and emergency situations.

In case of detection of sources of fire near power facilities, you should immediately report this to the unified rescue service at 112, as well as to the direct 24-hour line of IDGC of Centre at 8 (800) 50-50-115 (toll-free).
