Lipetskenergo took part in command and staff exercises in Terbunsky district

The exercises were conducted in accordance with the plan of the main activities of the Lipetsk region in the field of civil defense, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and safety of people on water bodies for 2019.

Enemy aviation, using high-precision weapons, inflicted a number of attacks on facilities of cities and districts of the region, several district enterprises were put out of operation, a communications centre, electricity and water supply in populated areas were disrupted - this is only one of the introductory conditions of the command and staff exercises. In the course of practical activities crews of Terbunsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of the Centre - Lipetskenergo division worked out the necessary actions under five possible emergency scenarios. For example, the readiness of the power engineers to a break in the overhead wire between poles and a power outage in the village of Terbuny in adverse weather conditions was checked. To carry out emergency repair work, the Distribution Zone has the necessary engineering equipment, backup power sources of different capacities, and the skills of power engineers are constantly improved.

The main goal of the exercises is to practice, in real, the interaction of services and organizations, check warning systems, work out in detail the actions of all those who, in the event of danger, will help people, take part in the prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations.

During the training, the skills of the district management were improved, and coherence was achieved in the work of the management bodies and forces at various levels when solving the assigned tasks.

The exercises made it possible to assess the real readiness of the agencies, forces and means involved, to prevent and eliminate the consequences of emergency situations. The leadership of the operational headquarters gave a positive assessment to the actions of the energy rescue service and the blackout of the district.
