In 2019, within the framework of contracts with municipalities of the Smolensk region, specialists of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division will perform maintenance of 30,478 outdoor lighting fixtures. Works are performed within the framework of the provision of the service “Setup of outdoor lighting systems”. According to individual requests, installation of additional lamps and construction of outdoor lighting networks is carried out. To perform the work, modern technical means are used, the work is carried out by qualified specialists in compliance with the required deadlines.
Smolenskenergo’s employees together with representatives of municipal authorities continue to improve the street lighting system. The power engineers develop joint activities with local authorities to replace the lighting fixtures with more advanced ones that meet the highest requirements. By the end of the year it is planned to install more than 100 lighting fixtures in various settlements of the Smolensk region.
Increasingly, LED lighting fixtures are installed on the streets of settlements in the region, which significantly save energy, are resistant to low temperatures, do not overheat, evenly illuminate carriageways and streets, and also do not require expensive recycling at the end of operation. Currently, in the Smolensk region, the company has installed more than 2,000 LED lighting fixtures.
