IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division held the Safety Day. As part of the Safety Day, inspections of the execution of organizational and administrative documents, regulatory and technical documentation, requirements of the rules and standards of labour protection and fire safety were organized in all structural subdivisions of the branch.
The following activities were included in the program of the Safety Day: personnel survey to assess the knowledge of the layout of the fixed equipment and the features of its operation; development of backup power supply schemes for socially significant facilities. At the training ground, workers checked with adherence to the rules for admission to work, operation of equipment of substations and power lines, breaches identified during inspection of the maintenance of the permit-admission system, work directly on temporary and permanent workplaces of staff, and outlined preventive measures to eliminate the violations. Safety measures were practiced in the organization and performance of work on clearing routes of overhead lines from trees and shrubs and trees using gasoline-powered saws.
Following the results of the Safety Day at the branch “Kurskenergo”, a list of measures was developed to eliminate the violations found.
“Safety Days in the branch are held monthly. These measures are aimed at improving the culture of industrial safety, preventing occupational injuries and preserving the health of the company’s employees,” said Dmitry Gorbachev, the deputy chief engineer and head of the department of industrial safety and production control of Kurskenergo.
