An energy project of a Lipetsk schoolboy is one of the best in Russia

17.04.2019

An innovative development in the field of energy was highly appreciated by experts at the “Step into the Future” All-Russian Forum.

The main National Forum of Scientific Youth “Step into the Future”, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the periodic law of Mendeleev, gathered 839 participants from 51 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Scientific works in the direction of PJSC ROSSETI were presented by ten high school students from different regions of the country.

According to the results of the forum, a Lipetsk tenth-grader Ruslan Molokanov received a special prize and a diploma from PJSC ROSSETI for the best innovative development in the electric power industry. In 2018, under the supervision of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division, he began to develop his project “Automatic Energy Management System”.

As a result, at the “Step into the Future” scientific forum, he presented the “Sunrise” night energy storage module, consisting of a control unit and an inverter, which will help the consumer save energy costs. The principle of its work is the accumulation of energy at night, when it is the cheapest, and the subsequent use of it during the day. Another indisputable advantage of this system is to reduce the load on electric grids and optimize the operation of power plants.

“In my opinion, the electric power industry is one of the leading industries on which both the development of industry and the comfort of people depend. In addition, energy rapidly develops, the most modern technologies are systematically implemented here. Therefore, I decided to apply my knowledge of information technologies in this area,” said Ruslan Molokanov.

Power engineers currently actively participate in forums and competitions of this kind in order to increase the motivation of schoolchildren to learn energy-related programs and their subsequent employment in the company of ROSSETI’s Group.
