IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division is preparing for the passage of the fire hazard period of 2019. Power engineers are implementing a set of measures to increase the level of fire protection and ensure trouble-free operation of electric grid facilities, reduce the risk of fires at power equipment.
In order to protect energy facilities from accidental fire, Kostromaenergo’s specialists are expanding and clearing routes of overhead power lines from trees and bushes and plowing the perimeter of substations to the width necessary to protect against bottom fires. Plowing was performed around the perimeter of transformer substations of 0.4-6/10 kV, located in areas with the risk of low-level fires. In addition, dry grass and flammable materials are being cleaned here.
