Power engineers of Kostromaenergo took part in a waste paper campaign

The Foundation “Geography of Goodness” and the Committee of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Work of the city administration are holding a charity event “Good Plastic” in Kostroma. The project participants are invited to give utility waste for recycling - this could be cardboard and paper, any plastic products, plastic bags and CDs.

At the initiative of the primary trade union organization, the action was supported by power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division. They gave for recycling 680 kilograms of waste paper. The proceeds will go to pay for the treatment of two-year-old Arseny Lapshin from Sharya. The boy was diagnosed with a serious illness associated with impaired hearing and delayed speech development. He will have a chance for a healthy future only after a complex and expensive operation.

The Foundation “Geography of Goodness” works and helps those in need in 33 regions of the Russian Federation. In Kostroma, it began its work in 2015 with the support of Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov. The foundation team helps not only seriously ill people, but also veterans, pensioners, social institutions and animal shelters. During its existence, more than 700 people received assistance; over 40 million rubles of donations were collected for the needy.
