Leaders of Kostromaenergo and Kostroma State University discussed cooperation in the field of training for the digitalization of the electric grid complex

A round table was held at Kostroma State University on current personnel areas of the “Digital Transformation 2030” Concept, which was attended by representatives of the university and IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division. The event was held on the basis of the educational laboratory “Automated process control systems in the electric grid complex” created by power engineers at the university in 2014. Its participants discussed the main areas of cooperation of Kostromaenergo and the university in training personnel focused on the current needs of the region’s power grid complex, primarily in terms of digitalization.

As a result of the event, it was decided to develop competences of the power engineer as applied to the upcoming digital transformation of the Kostroma power system by Kostromaenergo’s specialists. And for training specialists within the framework of these competencies, to organize on the basis of the university a corresponding program of advanced training for the branch’s employees. In addition, they discussed the possibility of obtaining by students of senior courses of the university additional education in the field of the electric power industry.

Kostromaenergo and Kostroma State University are connected by long-term cooperation, which in 2011 was secured by the relevant Agreement. One of its important results was the creation in 2014 on the basis of KSU of Kostromaenergo’s educational laboratory “Automated process control systems in the electric grid complex”, where, starting from 2015, employees of the Kostroma, Yaroslavl and Tambov branches of IDGC of Centre were able to improve their skills.
