Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division took part in a review of readiness of forces and means of the territorial subsystem of the Single State Emergency Management System of the Kursk region involved in emergency response during the fire hazard period.
The review was held in the village of Cheremisinovo of the Kursk region, as part of a training and methodological gathering on summarizing the activities of the regional civil defense authorities in the first quarter of 2019 and setting targets for the second quarter of the current year. In addition to the power engineers, rescuers, employees of emergency operational services, representatives of the gas service and utilities took part in it. Also, within the framework of the event, a meeting of the commission for prevention and elimination of emergency situations and fire safety of the Kursk region was held.
Kurskenergo was represented by first responding mobile and emergency-recovery crews of Cheremisinovsky Distribution Zone. Specialists of the branch demonstrated personal protective equipment and modern vehicles, which allows in the shortest possible time to carry out planned and emergency repair work. In particular, the power engineers presented an aerial platform, which is designed for installation of process equipment and maintenance of overhead lines, as well as a crew vehicle with the necessary special equipment, an autonomous power source and modern means of communication.
Deputy Governor of the Kursk Region, Chairman of the Regional Security Committee of the Kursk Region, Mikhail Gorbunov, noted the high quality of personnel training of Kurskenergo and the technical equipment of the branch, stressing that this is an important factor in ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the region.
At the meeting of the of the commission for prevention and elimination of emergency situations and fire safety of the Kursk region, well-established operational interaction between Kurskenergo’s duty shifts and the Crisis Management Centre of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Kursk region and the Unified Duty and Dispatch Service of municipal formations was noted.
Kurskenergo annually conducts a set of measures aimed at ensuring reliable operation of the region’s power grid complex during the flood and fire hazard periods. In case of emergency situations, the branch’s specialists are fully equipped with an emergency reserve, the necessary forces and means have been prepared, operational interaction has been established with the EMERCOM’s units, the regional administration and the hydrometeorological services.
