Fight against losses in electric grids was discussed at the management board of Lipetskenergo

09.04.2019

Power engineers of a branch of IDGC of Centre summed up the results of 2018.

Heads of the branch’s executive staff and chiefs of Distribution Zones discussed the results of the work of 18 production subdivisions in the past year and the main tasks for 2019.

At the end of 2018, there was a decrease in the number of complaints about interruptions in electricity supply by 16 percent compared with 2017. At the same time, the average time of interruptions in electricity supply was reduced by one and a half times. This is due to the fact that the repair program by the branch of IDGC of Centre was completed by 100 percent last year.

The main task for the Lipetsk power engineers for 2019 is to significantly reduce electric energy losses. Performing this task, Lipetskenergo’s employees since the beginning of the year have installed 4,993 metering devices with remote data transmission, mounted 8,878 antimagnetic seals on consumers’ meters, installed 394 protective panels from interfering with electricity metering sets, technical metering was restored at 67 transformer substations, technical metering was set up for 11 transformer substations. As a result, for two months of 2019, the power engineers managed to save 2.7 million kWh, which is equivalent to 11 million rubles. However, Sergey Koval, Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division demanded more efficient work from his employees, including ensuring reduction of commercial losses not only to the technological level, but also reducing power consumption for technological needs by changing distribution grid configurations that do not require capital investments, as well as the alignment of the optimal modes of operation of the equipment, while maintaining the regulatory level of uninterrupted power supply of citizens and enterprises.

In addition, along with the specified vector of work, the head of the branch demanded from the branch’s management and its subdivisions clear interaction with electricity consumers and suppliers of last resort and power supply companies acting in their interests in ensuring reliable metering of all transmitted electric energy, as well as eliminating differences and claims in services rendered.

Also, at the management board, the chiefs of Distribution Zones received keys to crew vehicles equipped for work in the field. They will allow the power engineers to react more quickly to technological violations. In total, in 2018, the Lipetsk branch of IDGC of Centre purchased 197 automotive and specialized vehicles. Among them there are mobile auto repair shops, aerial platforms, tractors with imported mulcher equipment, which clear routes from thickets and bushes along power lines. Carbide chisels cut and chop wood. Thus, the Distribution Zones of the Lipetsk region are provided with equipment for prompt elimination of possible emergency situations and construction of new facilities of the regional power grid complex.
