An engineer of the 1st category of the technological development department of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division Dmitry Starostin won the first place in the city festival of amateur creativity of working youth “Be Yourself!”. The event is held annually by the Committee on Youth Policy, Physical Culture and Sports of the Tambov City Administration. This year the festival is dedicated to the Year of Theater in Russia and is held under the motto “Be Yourself! Other roles are already taken”.
The event was attended by young people aged 18 to 35 years old working in enterprises, institutions and organizations of the city of Tambov. The participants presented their creativity in several categories: vocal skills, choreographic art, original genre, artistic word, needlework, visual arts and photographic works. All works were evaluated by a competent jury, which included choreographers, musicians and representatives of the administration of Tambov and the region.
Dmitry Starostin became the winner in the nomination of a photo work on the theme “Spring Stories”, presenting his works to the contest: “Spring Enduro”, “Water treatments” and “Little Sparrow” (a fan of the Wings of Soviets football club at the match in Tambov). At the end of the festival, participants and winners were awarded with diplomas, cups and memorable gifts.
“For me, the festival is not only a contest of craftsmanship, for me it is a celebration of creativity, youth and spring, which gives an opportunity to communicate with people of different professions, make new acquaintances with like-minded people and make new friends. In many respects this has become possible thanks to the youth policy implemented in our company. I want to express my gratitude to the leadership of Tambovenergo, who creates all the necessary conditions for the development of the creative abilities of the staff,” stressed Dmitry Starostin, an engineer of the technological development department.
“The festival is designed to support and unite talented working youth, to strengthen cultural ties between enterprises, institutions and organizations. Tambovenergo assists young specialists in enhancing their creative and, at the same time, professional level, as well as in increasing their interest in high-quality and qualified work,” stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
