A branch of IDGC of Centre took part in a command-staff training on the territory of Stanovlyansky district.
An explosion of domestic gas occurred in a block of flats, a part of the building was destroyed, a fire started - this is only one of the introductory conditions of the command and staff exercises. They were held on the territory of Stanovlyansky district for three days. During this time, operational services and crews of Stanovlyansky Distribution Zone of Lipetskenergo, a branch of IDGC of Centre, worked out the necessary actions under five possible emergency scenarios.
For example, the readiness of power engineers to a break of wire of an overhead line between poles and power cuts in five settlements under adverse weather conditions was checked. The Distribution Zone has the necessary engineering equipment, backup power sources of different capacities for emergency recovery work. The operational-technological group operates on a permanent basis, two more crews are on duty around the clock. If necessary, crews of services of substations and power lines of the high-voltage grid office of Lipetskenergo can be involved in the restoration work.
During the exercises, coherence was achieved in the work of government bodies and forces at various levels in solving the tasks of preventing and eliminating emergency situations and carrying out civil defense measures.
“Following the results of the documentary verification, and as a result of three days of active actions, Stanovlyansky Distribution Zone confirmed its readiness to act in emergency situations. The crews are equipped with the necessary materials, vehicles and protective equipment. The Distribution Zone has all the necessary specialized vehicles for quick restoration work at power facilities,” said Sergey Shutov, the head of the mobilization preparation and civil defense department of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division.
When summing up the exercises, Deputy Head of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Lipetsk region, the Head of the Civil Protection Directorate, Colonel Oleg Voronov, praised the rescue service of the energy company and the blackout of the district created on the basis of Stanovlyansky Distribution Zone of Lipetskenergo.
