Smolenskenergo spent about 220 million rubles on repairs of power grids in 2018

29.03.2019

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division summed up the results of the repair program for 2018, from which it follows that the branch coped with the tasks set by 100%.

During the year, the branch’s specialists repaired 2,003.9 km of power lines of all voltage classes in different districts of the region. 7,846 insulators, 1,186 poles and 84.54 km of wire were replaced.

Smolenskenergo’s power engineers cleared from vegetation and bushes 1,542.34 hectares of routes of 6-110 kV overhead lines. The largest amount of work was carried out in the central service area (Yartsevsky, Safonovsky, Dukhovschinsky and Dorogobuzhsky districts). The clearing work was carried out both by contracting organizations possessing necessary specialized vehicles and by the company’s specialists manually using brush cutters and chainsaws.

According to the approved work schedules, the expansion of routes along power lines was made in the amount of 945.46 hectares.

In the 0.4-10 kV distribution grid, overhaul of 674 transformer substations of 6 -10/0.4 kV and 127 power transformers was completed. At high-voltage substations of 35-110 kV, 30 circuit-breakers and 64 disconnectors were repaired, 254 support-rod insulators were replaced, and overhaul of 5 power transformers was completed.

The maximum amount of the repair program falls, as a rule, on the second and third quarters, since many types of technical work can be carried out only in the warm and dry season.

In 2018, the grid company’s specialists spent 219.2 million rubles on the entire repair program. The power engineers performed the overwhelming volume of repair activities by own forces - on their own, without the involvement of contractors.

The implementation of the branch’s repair program is aimed at ensuring the operability of lines and substations, the trouble-free passage of the heating season, the prevention of violations and failures in the operation of electrical installations and the overall increase in the reliability of the region’s power grid complex.
