Last week, specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division held a series of lessons on prevention of electrical injuries for schoolchildren of general education institutions in the Tambov region. About 250 children from schools in Kirsanovsky, Umetsky, Morshansky, Zherdevsky, Michurinsky and Tambovsky districts took part in such classes.
The power engineers told the schoolchildren about the basic rules of electrical safety and the meaning of warning signs installed on electrical equipment. The pupils watched videos about the danger of unauthorized penetration of power facilities. The children were shown methods of first aid to the victim from effects of electric current.
During the lesson, Tambovenergo’s specialists told the audience about the latest trends and energy of the future: about the important direction of work - digitalization of the electric grid complex and about the plans of the enterprise for its implementation. The children were easily and affordably explained what the effects of these activities would be to improve the quality of life for consumers.
In the final part of the class, the power engineers held thematic contests and quizzes, and also handed specialized brochures and posters to all the schoolchildren.
Electrical safety lessons are one of the most important activities of the program to reduce the risk of injury to third parties at power facilities of IDGC of Centre.
“During the school year, our employees conduct similar classes in educational institutions, and during the holidays - in children’s health camps. The purpose of such events is not only to acquaint children with the electrical safety rules, but also to hold an explanatory conversation with teachers and educators,” stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
